Ball Valve
A ball valve utilizes a spherical disc with a through-hole as its closing element. By rotating the ball core 0-90° around the valve stem axis, the valve can be opened or closed. When the ball valve is rotated 90°, the spherical surface fully aligns at the inlet and outlet, closing the valve and cutting off fluid flow. When rotated back 90°, the port of the ball fully aligns, opening the flow path with minimal flow resistance. Ball valves serve various purposes, typically used in pipelines for on/off switching or regulating media flow. The sealing surface of a ball valve generally remains in contact with the spherical surface, making it less susceptible to erosion by the medium. It is easy to operate, features a simple and compact structure, and is suitable for applications involving water, natural gas, acids, solvents, and other working conditions.
